Transporting and Storing your Outboard Motor:
Please DO NOT use the tilt support lever or knob when trailering your boat. The outboard motor could shake loose from the tilt support and fall or break the tilt support lever. If the outboard motor cannot be trailered in the normal running position, please use an additional support device to secure it in the tilt position. The tilt support mechanism is not designed to be used as a trailering support (it is for servicing purposes only). Damage to swivel brackets etc. caused by incorrect trailering procedures will NOT be covered by Yamaha Warranty.
We were aware of a gap in the market for a suitable support so have had a new tilt support bracket specifically designed for this.
